Use the Mirror Function / Activity

This gentle, creative prompt helps you notice what’s working, let go of what’s not, and carry forward what matters.

The mirror function is about seeing things clearly, without taking everything in. You can reflect on what’s happened, notice what’s changed, and move forward without holding on to what you no longer need. It’s perspective, not judgement. This activity is a great check-in. A way to pause, get clear on what’s working, and gently let go of what you don’t need. A moment of reflection and a step in the right direction.

Activity: Take The First Step

A creative prompt to help you shift perspective, reflect with care, and move forward with intention.

1. Take a moment to pause
Find a quiet few minutes — between tasks, at the end of the day, or after a busy stretch.

2. Ask yourself:
– What feels good right now?
– What’s felt heavy or out of sync?
– What do I want to take with me — and what can I leave behind?

3. Get it down
You can write, draw, collage, or make a list. Keep it instinctive. Don’t aim for neat. Aim for honest.

4. Name one next step
It could be a small shift, a new focus, or a gentle intention. Just one thing to carry with you for now.

5. Keep it somewhere visible
Pin it up, save it in your notes, or tuck it into a sketchbook. Let it remind you: you get to choose what stays.
