Patterns of Place

A series of artwork printed on tea towels, exploring the textures, rhythms and overlooked beauty of urban environments.

Patterns of Place is a series of bold, location-inspired designs by Louisa Tan, originally created as hand-cut collages. Each piece draws from a specific place — from the flowing lines of Venice’s bridges and streets to the layered textures of Brockley and New Cross, and the movement of people along Watergate Street by the Thames.

Printed on premium organic cotton, the collection brings these fragments of the city into the domestic space — celebrating place, memory and the everyday through art you can use, gift or frame.
